  • I'm a lifelong Cardinal fan, but now I've modified that to say, "The Cards are my National League team, and the Sox are my American League team." This certainly is a fun team to watch, and it seem

  • Yea bro let's get mad at our checks notes 22 year old pitcher making his 6th MLB start and checks notes 23 year old infielder learning a brand new position.

  • That's what she said.

I'm guessing the scouting report said that Thomas doesn't get the ball in quickly.

Mune fouling off pitches he should hammer.

Lugo's arsenal keeps you guessing.

Antonacci is a star. Tests the boundaries.

man, warm up chicago weather.

This ump sucks. Really sets women back to get promoted like this when they aren't ready.

Lugo won't get past 5 innings. Noah either. Bullpen battle incoming.

I know this guy who's been saying that for a while now....

Walks or no walks make the catch

It was a terrible attempt. That’s the type of play that should get you -2 DRS

The weather in may there is really not helping

Curve ball out at 102 but not enough juice.

379 feet wrong part of the park

He needs to get on the juice and have his hat size grow then too.

He’s a fun player but not an outfielder

Yeah you’re talking about a guy with elite homer hitting ability and a guy with no power.

Pawol ranks near, but not at, the bottom of umpire accuracy. She's not a full-time MLB umpire, she's just one of the AAA umps who gets called up to replace injured/ill/resting MLB umps. The system for those minor league umpires is totally metric and merit-based. It's a hard job and the people who are best at it are mostly already in the majors full time.

Not that mad at Sam and not that mad at Noah. Sometimes you give up runs. We will all survive it. Sam is a work in progress in the outfield but really not too bad out there. I can see in the metrics that he makes some reasonably high difficulty plays even if he sometimes fails to make ones that he should.

this reads like one of those Sox fan twitter accounts that feels like they're being paid by the Sox to write lovely tweets all day about the team lol

They will eventually have to choose between him and Chase.

Not even close for Schultz. He has a long ways to go.

Some folks around here need therapy and if I have to give it, then so be it!

Jose hit 13 HRs in 1539 plate appearances in the minors.

Not sure I can really put a ton of fault on the infielder now being played as an outfielder in the big leagues, over the pitcher who walked the bases loaded with nobody out.

He's not anywhere close to Vaughn...but there was that 6-8 week flash of positivity with him in LF that eventually vanished.

Antonacci obviously a much better athlete with sound instincts/baseball IQ most of the time...

but let's not forget he was rushed up too

Nah, Jose has never hit the ball all that hard relatively and he doesn't have great bat speed, he just learned to turn on balls and maximize pull power on pitches he could.

Antonacci has made that same change, he just hasn't perfected lift over liners. He'll get there.

Jose always been stocky. In fact it was a knock on him as a prospect for development.

So frustrating
