5 hours ago5 hr I won't use the other F word but just gotta forget yesterday. Glad Martin is on the bump. Even up the series and take it tomorrow. f*** the Cubs!
5 hours ago5 hr Not sure who Venable could rely on to pitch in relief tonight. Bullpen couldn't throw strikes until they had to, and then they got torched. Maybe Grant Taylor for two innings and then Dominguez ....if they have a lead. Need men on base ahead of home runs. Three solo shots didn't make up the difference yesterday. I was really surprised by the distance of Kelenic's HR, especially because it was to straight away CF. More please.

Ironically, Kelenic’s longest homerun was at Wrigley Field in 2023 when he was with the Mariners — 482 feet.

Last night was a pretty low stress outing at least, so he might feel alright. Doubt they would push him to two innings, though. Otherwise, Hudson and Seranthony should still be available. Newcomb is probably available for a short appearance and Tyler Davis is rested. I assume Richards could go again if needed, too, but you're hoping not to see him in high leverage.
4 hours ago4 hr There are two very new arrivals on the Sox, Antonacci and Murakami. When they go well the Sox win.
3 hours ago3 hr Wish that they had a better two hole hitter than Mune ( he’s in AAA but is blocked by dead weight ). Mune strikes out too much to be second in a lineup for my taste.Speaking of which, I also wish that instead of Benny that someone like Hill was starting as the DH.

Will has set things up this way before and will soon enough get that Mune is in no way a two hole hitter. The only argument for it is getting him about two dozen more at bats on a season but the negative side far outweighs it.Rikuu Nishida would be perfect to have at the top of the order. Pair him with Sam and that is a near perfect 1 - 2 punch… if Rikuu’s skills will play at the MLB level. Can’t wait for them to try him out and hope it doesn’t take too long. I could see it being a while before he gets a look.

1 hour ago1 hr Cubs vs White Sox Over/Under pick: Over 8.5 (-110)Taillon is flirting with a 4.0 ERA despite a .214 BABIP, and 85.5 LOB%. He has benefited from great batted ball luck, stranded baserunners at an unsustainably high rate, and is still giving up plenty of runs.Martin is a very good pitcher, but he has also gotten lucky. His xERA is 3.91, more than two full runs higher than his actual ERA of 1.62.He may come back to earth against a dangerous Chicago Cubs offense that leads the majors in OBP and slots third in runs per game...
