5/18 White Sox @ Seattle 8:40pm CDT: Schultz vs Woo

Featured Replies

Tough break having to fly cross country after an emotional extra inning game last night, and this one had weird vibes from the 1st inning.

Liked the progress from Schultz. Miller tomorrow should be more hittable than Woo.

Not scoring that first inning doomed this one from the get go.

Let’s bounce back tomorrow boys!!!

Was expecting a flat game after this weekend and a long flight out west.

Go get em tomorrow!

Late night with Chuck and Ozzie was fun with guest Chis Chelios.

I’ll blame this loss on being drained after the weekend series and then having to go to the west coast yet again.

Yeah, that’s a no for me…thanks for posting though

Sam almost stopped short of the bag. Should have been a step faster and should have slid toward home plate. Dont know what the Coach was doing.

Same. Too bad we didn't get a day off.

I love Antonnaci's aggressive style of play even though some of it looks a bit forced or even foolish in hindsight. In that sense, he reminds me of how "Charlie Hustle" Pete Rose played the game. Of course I am not excusing his gambling, but Rose was a tremendous competitor that took every extra base he could and played with a winning attitude. And he could care less what anyone else thought about him or his style of play.

And the underage girls?

I’m also flipping to watching Mason Miller melt down in the Caulfield Classic

Oooops...that and Wembayana much more compelling viewing.

Turned this one off after the 8th just a dud other than Noah pitched pretty well. Cool damp morning here hopefully warms up like yesterday by game time.

Was not a great crowd last night from looks of it. Curious to see if they get a few more tonight.

Chitown, my sister texted me during the game, wondering if they were using "piped-in crowd noise" at the stadium. She thought that, visually, the crowd didn't look like they were as animated as the audio we were hearing would've indicated. I wasn't sure about that one. Sis is Sammy's grandma, so we have a lot of back-and-forth on "the sibling text thread" during these games, as you can imagine! Brand new day! Play ball! Go Sox!

I can tell you that T-Mobile is one of the WORST stadiums for constant piped in music. It's really bad especially on the visiting side in the 100 level as the speakers are above you by the club seats and boom all night.

Mariners fans are a lot like Sox fans. If the team is mediocre and bad and the weather isn't great in spring they aren't going to come out. But if they are intriguing in mid summer you'll start to see some bigger crowds.

My buddy whose a Tigers fan might be joining me tonight be nice to enjoy a game with the Sox not the doormat in the central if he's my chat companion.
