I think it does make a difference although history shows there have been clubs that literally hated each other yet still did very well on the field.

This is always the oddest flex to me. People point to a team from 50+ years ago who did this, like it helps. Nah, I'd rather do the thing that works easier, for once. I am sure there was once a team that won by a team hiring an under qualified, insider, yes man too, but I would still rather not.

He was so pumped when the Sox took the lead last night. What an asshole.

Sorry I missed it because I was too busy watching the guys actually play the game! Giving cheerleaders attention are for football and basketball, not baseball.

The Yerminator was fun for a while until Tony LaRussa was a buzz kill.

I dont pay much attention to him. But the whole thing seems quite harmless

I find his public persona to be pretty annoying but it's no big deal. I got to interact with him briefly when I visited spring training and he seemed like a nice enough guy, certainly very much eager to carry on with the fans.

I like that he wants to be a part of this team even tho he could be rehabbing on his own. Hopefully he can come back strong next year we're at least 2-3 pitchers short of a solid bunch.

Vasil one of the "stars" tonight.

Side note: Throwing HR balls back in is always dumb, but it's especially dumb for a milestone ball that you could haggle some free merch out of

Yeah at least give it to a kid in your section

I'm almost certain at that some point this season, there will be a girl in the crowd at the Rate with a big "Hey Mike Vasil, I'd love to check out your magic wand" sign

Are you still on this? “Under-qualified” the only qualification is to have played professional baseball at some point. The Sox could’ve hired the guy everybody on this board wanted (the one with no pro ball experience) and he could’ve brought us to the promise land of a $400mil payroll and a worse record than what we got presently. Ya know, the Mets might be an OK team if they stopped jettisoning all their useful pitchers to the White Sox. I wonder why they do that. It’s literally because their GM can’t evaluate talent unless it’s Juan Soto.

This seems to be more important in baseball than any of the other sports.

In football everyone dances together right on the field after big plays even running to the endzone after the play is dead on interceptions and fumble recoveries .

Hockey celebrates big goals on the ice with group hugs and the goal scorer at home throwing himself against the glass and skating along the bench for glove touches. Guys on the bench also bang their sticks on the boards after a good fight.

Fun should be banned !!! No magic wands, no bat flips, no waves, no dugout HR costumes or Tridents, Welder Helmet, Samurai or Viking Helmets or other props !!

I was actually watching the Philly broadcast wondering who it was who never saw a Harry Potter movie or read a book. John Kruk maybe. Then neither one could come up with the word "Baton" for what an orchestra conductor waves around. Then the HR just launched me in maniacal laughter.

I will neither confirm or deny that I've got this sign ready to go
