Hudson's had 25 appearances. He's given up earned runs in 3 of them. 2 of those 3 were his first 2 appearance of the year. The other was v Cubs last week.
So why use him as opener. Put Leasure there - if he give up a solo shot, no big deal. If he gives up a few runs, at least we'll have a lot of innings to catch up. Leasure has talent, but let him ease in.
When Hicks comes back, let him open. You can limit his damage>
But Davis and Hudson are 2 of the better relievers in this challenging bullpen.
