I thought I was prioritizing that stretch using Taylor, Dominquez , Newcomb & Leasure starting a clean inning in this game so they get a day of rest tomorrow and can pitch the 1st game or 2 of the next 3 or 4 after this series.

You have them going tomorrow in the rubber game and unavailable for the 1st game of the next series.

You have to find out what your players are capable of...especially when not really 100% competitive yet.

I have wondered whether Leasure tips his pitches but it also may be a matter of hitters guessing right on a 2-pitch repertoire or perhaps something about his motion giving hitters a good look. The metrics on his fastball are absolute top shelf and he very frequently hits that spot high in the zone where hitters should be missing it but instead they square it up too often.

Maybe I'm missing who you would have had start the 5th? I guess I would have been fine if they put Leasure in for a clean inning.

But I wouldn't burn Taylor, Newcomb, etc. in the 5th inning of a tied game on the road.

One of those 9 run innings would be real nice right about now

This Fedde has to be replaced in the starting rotation. He can't get anybody out. I don't know what the White Sox game plan is in regards to replacing him. I don't know if they have anybody in the minors to bring up and put into the starting rotation. Something has to be done to replace Fedde.

At least the Guardians are losing to the Phillies.

It’s surprising how Fedde and Kay have lasted this long in the rotation considering they always seem to be a pitch away from a blowout. I think they will need to replace both soon enough.

Welp, 3 of the last 4 have been chuck and duck for Fedde. Maybe he needs to catch whatever Hicks has and go get well. I think Joe Rock's being cultivated as a starter. I'd also think minor league free agents would have to be jumping onto the market any day now.
