You were promoting Gonzo before we even knew Mune would be out for a few weeks. That was a joke. Losing Mune is a devastating blow to the team. Maybe cool it with promoting Gonzalez right now.

Maybe cool it with promoting Gonzalez right now.If Mune is back strong in 3 weeks it's not a huge loss and might give us a glimpse into what Gonzo can do at a MLB level. Nobody is happy with Mune going down but hey at least we have some options to hopefully absorb the loss for a month.
Yesterday at 04:09 AM1 day If Gonzo makes it for the game, I would play him at SS, his natural position for his 1st game, with Monty at 3rd, & Vargas at 1st. Can move him to 1st (or not) Sunday once he settles in. Edited yesterday at 04:11 AM1 day by Rounding_Third

Never know, a spot can open with an injury to someone or he plays himself into a trade chip for a starter with control.15 hours ago, Bob Sacamano said:Maybe he can work as an every day utility guy. Cut Beni, DH Gonzo but let him play around the infield to give guys a little rest at the DH spot. Or for a full day off.24 minutes ago, tray said:You were promoting Gonzo before we even knew Mune would be out for a few weeks. That was a joke.Losing Mune is a devastating blow to the team. I mean, it's been Charlie Wilson, or JB Shuck, or Danny Mendick. Gonzo will most likely OPS .600 and be sent right back down on Mune's return, or maybe he'll stick. It's a fun story line.

Yesterday at 04:32 AM1 day I, for one, hope Mune completely tore his hamstring so that Gonzalez can have an extended chance. Grade 3 strain, baby! Edited yesterday at 04:33 AM1 day by ron883

Yesterday at 04:39 AM1 day Ron, we don't even wish those kinds of injuries on PCA...even if half or mostly jokingly. At any rate, the biggest test of the season is coming up. Let's see how they respond to a taste of real adversity. For the Tigers, they just might end up with a haul of prospects for Skubal, and the Twins might get to select Lackey.

Yesterday at 05:42 AM1 day Funny Jacob Gonzalez fact for me is his place of birth is Glendora, California. My high school sweetheart moved there and after my divorce, I moved there, got a place with her, and for a while thought I’d have a movie like romance story to tell. She was a cheerleader for the LA Kings. It only lasted a few months before I figured out that even though she was on Sports Illustrated swimsuit edition calendars, she was the most insecure woman I’d ever dated… which says a lot. 😆I bounced after strike two.

In which case there would have to be a little shuffling.I thought he tweaked something in his back.Stone noticed a grimace and he reached for his back. But after the game he's lifting the big Gatorade bucket to dump on Vargas which isn't going to help a sore back. So maybe it was nothing .
Yesterday at 06:19 AM1 day I checked flights tomorrow morning from CLT to both Chicago airports and there are a few options where he could get to the park around 11:00.So, he should be starting tomorrow.
