He does seem to be progressing well but that last 20% ramp up is the danger zone for hammies. I'd think unless he makes a rehab start before July 2nd they hold him out until after the ASB. You're only talking a difference of 3-4 games with or without him and giving him the extra week makes sense.Very fair - I'll accept him back right after the all star break and you are probably right in terms of ramp up. Part of me liked if he could get back, than you let him rest a bit, so it kind of gives a good in between. Feels like he is trending to being back soon - you can also ease him in at DH for a bit too.

Thursday at 12:48 AM2 days My guy Mason Adams was solid in AAA rehab start #3.5 innings 0 runs on 66 pitches. 2 H, 2 BB, 5 K. 40% whiff rate.Looked like he could have gone deeper. 2nd straight 5IP/0R outing.
Thursday at 02:37 AM2 days Small but positive Mune update: He's up to full speed work in the cages. The remaining checkpoint is running at full speed (he was reportedly at 80% a couple days ago), then they'll map out his rehab/return.

The rehab is looking very encouraging so far.

He only had 5 (mostly rough) starts in Charlotte pre-TJ though, so I don't know when this year turns from making sure he's fully healthy/stretched out to evaluating MLB readiness.Martin didn't spend much time at AAA after his TJ, but he had 100+ MLB innings already.
7 hours ago7 hr Author Sounds like there is some chance Murakami doesn’t need to go on a rehab assignment whenever he’s back to 100%. While I still expect it, Venable said that access to Trajekt machines allows for guys to get back in game speed without having to face live pitching.
