Or they give him a full rehab stint at AAA so he can be scouted thoroughly, then trade him off the IL.

The Sox might be able to flip one of the two, Baltimore just traded for a backup OF with KC. I agree that Grichuk is safe but Perez most likely get sent down.

He does not.

I find it very unlikely that we end up seeing both Pereira and Hays on the active roster unless somebody gets hurt.

You're probably going to see Hays get a very long rehab stint that culminates with him being released if that's what it comes down to.

yea i bet they try and use him at the deadline in a deal and if a home isn't found he'll just be waived, maybe someone will attempt a move for him then and we get some cash or a lotto ticket.

Just saying, but last time the Sox traded a RHH outfielder (Derek Hill) because Everson Pereira was coming back, he picked up his 4th injury of the year days later... he has potential but I don't want Getz to make that same mistake again. You can't assume Hays will be worthless as Pereira is far from a lock to finish the season healthy

Pereira played 5 in the field today. Went 1-3 at the plate with 2 batted balls over 105mph and an OF assist.
