You say goodbye to your favorite players every couple of years, and have a revolving door of talent that gets to go elsewhere when the time comes.

Their fans are far from miserable. They’re in pennant races virtually every year. Make the post-season virtually every year. They have a realistic shot at the World Series occasionally and they enjoy new stars quite often. Yeah, they lament losing their name guys but get over it pretty quickly once they start winning games again…virtually every year.
