As Len Kasper exclaimed after the 6th inning during today's radio broadcast "This Team !..." We have one of the best over all infields I can recall on either side of town in decades. Keep these guys and "this team" together. Sprinkle in some pitching and they can get to the play-offs and maybe compete. And please, stop whining that Chase lacks power. Power hitting is only a small part of his game, a game that more often than not excels and exceeds expectations. I share Len Kasper's excitement about this team. They have already provided us with a lot of entertaining games.

Dick Allen hit 37 of the teams 108 total homers, 34%. Only two other players were in double figures at 10 & 12 home runs. Bill Melton only played 57 games because of a back injury and hit 7 homers. Dick Allen was a one man gang , league MVP, it was the greatest single season I have ever seen from a Sox player. He was the Michael Jordan of baseball in 1972.
