Didn’t have control of the ball until Miggy was already safe. If not, Home fucking cooking.

Once again, glad this is everyone's first White Sox game on the year. They've never battled back this year to make it interesting.

It's crazy because you can see the ball isn't touching the glove at all and Vargas's foot is on the base. How do you overturn that

Lol that ball hadn’t even been gathered.

Bro wtf how much money these umps have on the Yankees

Oh wow the zone is suddenly bigger again for the top half

Play reviews involving NY teams should be done in Chicago.

Berman ESPN Bristol Bias.

nice inning boys, JFC 😂

Feels like replay officials made the same mistake Plesac did and only looked at the players' feet

Awful at bat by Colson

Yeah this is going to be one of those games

I don’t know that rule. The ball definitely entered the glove before Vargas touched the base. But then the ball rolled around slightly in the glove. However, it never exited the glove during that time. No clue what the rule is on that.

Gonzalez had been doing exactly what he did on Volpe's grounder in the Dodgers series. He's pretty good at picking it at 1B, but he really sucks at actually covering first when he needs to. Typical rookie stuff.

I'm thinking he must have thought the ball was going through for a single and he decided to get lined up for a cutoff

It seems like seeing where the 2B is set up is easy thing to do

Also typical stuff of a guy playing out of position

I think the contact rule only matters if the catch is actually made cleanly. If he the ball is still rolling around the glove, I don't think it counts.

Yeah I'm not gonna fault him. He's a SS playing 1B out of necessity. And he probably won't be playing there much longer anyways.

That’s what I would have guessed, but based on that play, we are probably wrong. There’s no way they overturn that if that’s the case.

This is a game where one pitcher is really on and the other is really off.

How many times did Cole have an 0-2 count?

yea he's regressing, sucks.

we are gonna be bottom 1/4 in FIP and xFIP after tonight. Not great bob.

Now it’s over.

Alright, see ya tomorrow. I am just hoping we can take at least one game this series so we can't get this part of the schedule over with

Davis Martin really got done in by J.C. Escarra tonight...

Just one of those games I guess.
