I blame the manager

Great bullpens make great managers. And the opposite.

They’re pulling out Zapruder Film replays to excuse Acuna

One angle looked barely out and the other a tie.

Too lackadaisical.

The irony is he finally homers and then erases all that on defense.

i'm not panicking yet. I'm annoyed though.

If they lose the next series to Cleveland its time to reevaluate expectations.

Expectations? I think we all believe they should be very hesitant to trade anything of significance.

A few weeks ago, Eisert’s FB topped out at a tepid 91-92.  Today it was 88.  Get serious please!

Time to move on from him

Back down to Earth

Also, this is the first stretch of bad baseball since they were 6-13. They were due for a down stretch.

There's nobody to trade.

Gonzalez hasn't proven anything yet, trading Hagen or McDougal or Bonemer makes zero sense.

Just super frustrating with three of Guardians' best hitters out now.

There is a window...but desperately need Murakami to restabilize the lineup.

To the naked eye, his splitter is his best pitch. Didn’t throw one that whole inning.

With Quero and Romo catching, it’s risky to bury a splitter with men on base, because neither one of them is good blocking balls on the dirt.

Also right after taking a series from the Dodgers and Braves. And honestly the Yankees series was expected.

Uh yeah, of course. Expectations as in my expectations for the season.

I despise the concept of Eisert on the team, let alone in leverage. The parade of terrible lefties (Eisert, Gilbert, Rock, C. Murphy) just has to stop. You tell me there’s no one in the entire org better than at least one of those guys?

The window is right now when they actually play them head to head. Nothing has changed yet.

I wonder where the runner on third base was on that final play. Any chance if Braden just fielded the ball on a short hop that he might have been able to get the force at home?

This is why statistical models have Sox Twins Tigers with basically same shot at WC (20-30%) and Guardians at roughly 70%.

and now CLE misses Martin as well

Potentially their worse series of the year. This is a terrible series to get swept. Terrible just terrible to choke two wins away, and the Sox did choke them away.

Detroit was on the verge of giving up the season and breaking down their team, trading off assets. Now they’re gonna be fired up and make a charge for the division.

If the Sox could have won 2 out of 3 (yesterday and today), Detroit would have been done. Now they’re gonna be in the hunt in September.

Nope.

Yeah what did those models say about the Sox at the beginning of the year? Means jack s%*#.

Yankees at home next.

Huge opportunity for DETROIT with sellout crowds over the weekend to make some noise.

Not sure if Skubal would see them the third game of the series or not.

I see we are back to doom posting Fangraphs odds after a 1-5 stretch. Weird I didn't see you post any the last month

Offense is slumping. Mune and Teel can't get back here soon enough. That Acuña play is real tough. Looked 'routine' but it wasn't an easy play. Fuckin brutal, man.

Nobody wants to see the White Sox fail like some White Sox fans.

Forgot about Gameday 3D being a thing. Yeah I think he might have been toast with an accurate throw. Was close to the base and moving the wrong way. Not to say I think Braden did anything wrong.

Over 162 games...they mean a lot.

The more information provided, the more accurate they become over the course of a full season.

Will leaves a lot to be desired as a manager

Yeah, Pete Rose would just go in and get that hit, himself.

They're double digit games under .500

That didn't answer my question.
