Seranthony sucks but i dont think a 6 inning save from Grant Taylor is inarguably a better option. The Sox just dont have many reliable bullpen guys.

It doesnt help when Taylor hasnt thrown in basically a week.

Acuna took his time

That was deep in the hole he was making sure he had an accurate throw.

Jacob being the runner is far from ideal

That wasn't a routine play. That ball was pretty deep in the hole towards 3B.

Its hard to believe this is the same team at home and on the road. They just look so lifeless and incompetent outside Rate

Swing away, Peters, but only at strikes!

Dominguez had his good stuff and still couldn't get a 1 run save...

Should have stuck with his fast ball.

Close enough!

I'm not sure I understood Quero's approach there, but it worked out. He kept trying to go oppo the whole time when all he needed was a ground ball to the right side.

I would have pinch hit Vargs for Quero.

A Vargas pinch hit bomb would sure help!

Well well well, look who has the lead

Youre out

So who gets the 10th? Tyler Davis?

I think seranthony has value as a set up man. Taylor is generational in my opinion. To not use him in the ninth is malpractice

It's a mentality thing

Quick question since I am watching on gameday....should Acuna have made that out on that 2 out single for Detroit that they reviewed?

Yes

Who are we putting out in the ninth

Probably. Gonzalez didn't do the best job stretching for it either. It was one of those if it's 1 ms quicker he's out. Tough play for sure.

Yep, and why not let him pitch two innings if you’ve been saving him all series.
