Another problem with this is if more rain moves into the area, you risk having to delay the game again once it goes underway and then you run into the same problem again with the warning track flooding. Literal rinse dry and repeat.

Those who were watching the Peacock feed around 2:30 ET will know that the field really wasn't playable at that point because the warning track was extremely wet and mushy. I don't know why it was, but it was. Steve said on the broadcast that the warning track was also the problem back in 2021.

I think it's more just incompetency of announcing a 2:30 start when you have standing water all over the field.

Alright the delay has made it officially acceptable for this to be a beer game. Plus it's a holiday weekend. Cheers
