Kyle Teel ankle injury

Featured Replies

he might be gone a month he might be gone forever who knows!

They should have brought Lee up. He can’t be any worse defensively than the others. None of them seem to be able to catch the ball.

Got to trade for a starter now

The pitchers hate throwing to him, and we've seen that experiment fail multiple times already. People complain about Quero sucking, but at least he had a very nice run in the majors last year. Lee is atrocious, and makes Quero look like Johnny Bench when you put their career stats next to each other.

What would a starting catcher cost the Sox?

Easy to see why he was gutted in this brief interview. Seems like the range is due to the level of the strain still yet to be determined.

It really sucks because like fathom said you basically have to trade for a starter now. You simply cannot count on him coming back and being his best self this season. It might happen but it very likely will not.

Snakebitten again!

At least it’s a rare case where getting a rental makes sense… and if they decide to bring on someone with control, they could get creative and deal Teel and Quero this offseason to replace the lost prospect capital.

Let’s just have Quero unlock Sama mode, go on an absolutely legendary tear, and never look back. 😆

Who are some useful catchers that wouldn't cost much? Keibert Ruiz is having a nice year and I bet Washington wants to get out of his salary. Of course, then you're stuck paying him through 2030. Caratini could be a pretty good get. Jonah Heim was picked up off the scrapheap and he's playing pretty well.

I'd trade for nobody though. This team was doing fine with Quero and Jerkoff playing there. Romo has caught 4 shutouts. This team is still rebuilding, don't give up assets for a guy who will only be useful for a few weeks.

I mean, Salvy? Wacha and Salvy might make a lot of sense but you have the division tax

In the old but recent days, teams played the Rockies GM like a fiddle. So did agents. Now they have a real baseball guy running the show, instead of the owner. He spent 10 years or so in Dodger front office. He wants to trade Goodman but will insist on an overpay. So he says. Maybe on August 3rd, he will make a move.

Really like both of those dudes but I'd be surprised if Salvy ever moves. A trade for Wacha is a lot more appealing than for Detmers imo.

Now this guy would be a get. Fits the timeline and can actually hit. Easy to move to DH. Wonder if the Sox could do anything for Brenton Doyle, I bet Colorado would just dump him at this point.
