He should have brought in Richards over Dominguez. I'm not joking.

Agree. It was a high leverage situation for Dominguez, for which he has not been good at.

I don't know the overall opinion. I'm not a big fan of the in game interviews.

Very doubtful, but I could see them convincing themselves they need Meidroth’s grinder mentality more than slugging.

Grinders are great for utility guys.

If they are gonna use Dominguez at all, let him open for Fedde to get Ser over with early.

A tie ballgame in the first two innings is also probably too much leverage for Ma’amanthony.

What in the world was Venable doing? Hudson was really the last pitcher in the bullpen to bring in to get out of a jam with good right-handed hitters coming up. Hudson has been good this year, but he's a soft-tossing control lefty.
It's really bizarre.
It's also strange how he closes 2 nights ago (instead of Taylor) and then now he's the first guy in.

Well Venable earns his money here, getting this gang to pull themselves up and put this game behind them.
And there is a general concern about the offense. Hasn't been great recently.

Colson melted down trying to be a complete hitter. I will cherish my Rob Deer shortstop.

I agree just get the hits with runners on in the clutch

Hold on, who said anything about 2 innings 😂

He's just a bad in-game manager.

I guess that should’ve said “batters.” 🫠

I guess. But tonight was just baseball 101 that he got backwards.

Romo cannot hit the ball hard to save his life

Romo batting avg. Is down to .127, straddling the Maldonado line. Shades of Martin M.. not good memories.

Hudson has extreme reverse splits, and he was brought in because of the leverage not the inning. It just didn’t work out.

I would say that now Seranthony should be relegated to mop up duty,a very expensive mop up pitcher though.

One of the worse games of the season. Flush it and get back at it tomorrow!

These games happen. Having said that, I think it was a borderline disgraceful performance. Flush it and go again tomorrow

Just a very bad loss and not the way you want to start what is going to be a difficult stretch of games the next two weeks.

Saturday becomes a little more important to see how they respond.

This has to be Romo’s last game. His at bats are just non competitive.

But he's not really a high leverage pitcher with his modest K rates.

Hicks and Taylor throw 99 with high K rates - that's for leverage.

One of, if not, the worst games of the season.

Houston has now won 4 in a row. Hopefully this doesnt spark them for a longer winning streak. Really need Burke and the offense to show up tomorrow

Burke is our best chance of a stopper. Sending Siranthony to the IL would also help.

Need for the Sox to start hitting homers again.
