I think Murphy was only available here on an emergency basis. And once we gave up the first run, you wanted to save him for the next inning should you be lucky enough to get there. But Richards probably made clear to Will he didn't anything left.

Really hard to win a game when your defense forces you to get 30 outs in a 9 inning game, that then goes into extras…
