Martin technically will pitch on three days of rest, but his start Sunday against the Guardians, his first since the tipping, lasted just one inning because of a rain delay.

I can see why the scouting reports were unreasonably negative on his D. They couldn't tell he was getting great jumps on the fly balls but they would see him occasionally misplay the bouncers like that and conclude that he didn't know what he was doing. Of course, I don't know why in the world he allowed that ball to eat him up like that since he didn't seem to think he had any chance to catch it in which case... lay back and make your hop. Should be easy enough to coach up but for whatever reason he hasn't grasped it yet.
