Great challenges, at least.

I was referring to at the plate. Yes he seems better defensively than Romo.

He’s legit too, so this isn’t a total fluke. 34 homers in AAA.

This Joshua Baez is a 23 yr old monster. First at bat against the Cubs a 449 ft3 run homer, followed by 2 more homers, a major league record for a first time call up. He was a second rounder. Matthew Boyd was the victim. 5 Cubs gopher balls today so far.

Not bad, but this doesn't really count. Wait til the Toughest Stretch of the Season (TM)

Why hes on his 4th team this week although they have to roll the dice

if Mune and Colson can get going again (Colson might be heating up, we shall see), we really don't need Rogers to be anything but a better version of Romo. I've wanted a vet backup C all year since McGuire was released, hope they keep Rogers on the roster when Teel comes back. I'd rather have Rogers than Bart personally

We are the worst "small ball" team. Cant steal, cant bunt, cant move runners over.

We are a homer ball team, which is OK in a homer friendly Rate park, but when we don’t hit homers, we struggle. Would help to improve our small ball, particularly during Manfred ball extras. IMO.

Even then it won’t be enough.

I guess those 100 + loss seasons are affecting the psyche of some of Soxtalk members.

Not mine haha, I mostly stayed away...I love my team so much that I wouldn't put myself through a 100 loss season if I can avoid it. I checked out very fast those two seasons, feeling burned from the TA7, Eloy, Yoan, LuisR bust

How big of a lead in the division before Soxtalk calms down a little bit?

Two car lengths in the parade.

Is he related to Hobby Baez? 🤣

Yes, that's it -- before 2023 people were very reasonable and optimistic around here 🤣. Go read some of the 2005 threads.
