Grichuk and Beni, the 2 old pros have been our unsung heroes with lots of clutch hitting.

Confirmed it like a fucking reservation. Bases loaded AGAIN and you strand them AGAIN!

The one pitch was just about un-hittable.

Murakami swinging at ball 4, Benintendi only one run driven in over two clutch situations and then just missed a GS.

Par for the course tonight.

3 main lefty power hitters all had bad at bats against RHP

I’ve never been a MLB player, but sometimes watching Colson play at least makes me think I could read a ball out of the pitcher’s hand better than him.

Either DJ or Stoney said the other night that Colson has a bad habit of deciding before a pitch whether he’s going to swing or not. That could be a straight take or a straight swing, or he just guesses the pitch and runs with it. It really shows sometimes…..like when he takes one right down the pipe with the bases loaded for strike 3

What is the narrative?

Well, when you have a bad hit tool, this is something you have to do.

Sucks with RISP overall...

It looks to me like he’s a guess hitter, how else can you explain so many Ks right down the middle with the bat on his shoulder.

Yep, did it in the minors as well. He’s not a smart hitter.

Last 7 games Colson is hitting .333 / .385 / .542 and in that at bat he hit one about 400 feet but just foul.

Soxtalk:

“He’s horrible.”

“Confirmed. Good for nothing.”

Bunch of soft ass negative Nancy wusses in here.

Tough to leave men on base down by 3. Then there is giving up 7 runs so far. Does not look like something that is sustainable. But nothing that we did not know already.

The haters said he couldn't do it. And they were correct. Honestly, great call from the haters.

I don’t mind Colson nearly as much as most, but let’s not act like he’s been good in clutch spots this year

everyone move back to the ledge, single file please

I don't think Detroit is the threat now but the other 2

These types of criticisms are totally valid and have a lot more weight than empty “he sucks” narratives.

Hopefully he’ll mature. So many of our rostered guys are extremely fresh.

A lot of hitters at the ML level are to some extent.

You just can’t keep the bat on your shoulder in a situation like that. That’s not negative Nancy, that’s baseball 101.

SWEEP THE CENTRAL is where it’s at. It’s not nearly as dramatic as people he make it seem.

Tigers lost
