Yep, did it in the minors as well. He’s not a smart hitter.

Wouldn't you have to be a smart hitter to be a guess hitter and have some success?

I think a big part of him struggling post ASB was he was mentally out of it. If you're not on mentally you can't possibly succeed if you are a guess hitter.

  • If we happened to meet them in October, I'm more worried about the Yankees starting pitching to be honest.

Grichuk and Beni, the 2 old pros have been our unsung heroes with lots of clutch hitting.

With our starting pitching it’s really hard to get on any kind of a winning streak, the offense is going to have to gut it out the rest of the way.

they have let to lose something like 6 in a row either

They just suck against the Central. That's like 4 straight losses for them against the Royals.

You just can’t keep the bat on your shoulder in a situation like that. That’s not negative Nancy, that’s baseball 101.

If he was a fraction of a second later - we’d all be phrasing him. Kid went up there looking in a zone and for a pitch.

He has zero two strike approach. Hopefully he’ll grow into becoming a true hitter instead of someone who sells out to maximize a tool.

Until then, we’ll have to deal with him being Adam Dunn with some defense.

I think it’s safe to say they’re toast now. That sweep was the finishing move.

They’ve had like the exact opposite season as us. High expectations. Completely flopped. Looked like there for a stretch they might have found their way again, now they are just scuffling like they were most of the season. A bunch of pretenders.

Either DJ or Stoney said the other night that Colson has a bad habit of deciding before a pitch whether he’s going to swing or not. That could be a straight take or a straight swing, or he just guesses the pitch and runs with it. It really shows sometimes…..like when he takes one right down the pipe with the bases loaded for strike 3

sounds like some Luis Robert strategy right there

Yea, pretty sure our longest losing streak this year is 5.

Okay the tigers lost but I forgot what team this week is the threat to win the division.

I thought it was 4?

COME ON BOYS - LOTS OF GAME LEFT! TAKE THIS SERIES TODAY!!!

Lets claw back a couple here gents!

That ring is pretty friggin sweet for Tristan. Nice job Jerry.

Pretty sure we made it to 4 once and then lost one more after that.

They have 6 left with Twins and 4 with Guardians. It’s good for them to be struggling outside of the division, as then we can hope they win a good portion of those 10 games.

More like which team is the threat to finish around .500 and get swept out of the first round. 🤣

Definitely Guardians. That pitching is so good.

Mets trying really hard to let us back in this game.

Man I want to believe but that 5th absolutely took it out of me.

Bases are gonna be loaded again right quick and third time will be a charm.

Sure would be nice to have someone to PH for Romo here.

Clearly you want to give up the first out

We’ll take it Romo.

Yeah but they had been pitching poorly since the ASB. It took them playing the Giants and Rockies to start looking good again.
