13 hours ago13 hr Every win is huge at this point. Really good to see them take belt to ass on the Rangers as this had the makings of a trap series.
13 hours ago13 hr 70 wins in August, who'da thunk? Your first place Chicago White Sox win the series, the homestand, and the tiebreaker over TEX while returning to a season high 7 games over.Shaky start from Burke to say the least, but he did just enough to keep the game from getting out of hand and buy the bats some time to get going. Venable dug in his arsenal for a Nuke and a Cannon to get a big extra day of rest for several pen arms ahead of the off day.Bats also did a great job to make sure we didn't need to sweat too much (didn't stop some folks from still trying of course).Everyone reached base except Grichuk who was PH for early (and robbed on a hard hit liner). Multi-reach games for the bench mob of Acuna, Rodgers, and Doyle chipping in at the bottom of the order.Meanwhile Peters is so hot they're going to start calling him Bananas FosterFun note, 70 ties an MLB record for the most wins following 3+ 100 loss seasons. The Sox obviously have plenty of time to keep adding on.
13 hours ago13 hr Back to 7 over. That's been our resistance point all season. Time to burst through.

11 hours ago11 hr My cell phone reception took a s%*# when the post game was almost wrapped up. What did Chuck and Ozzie have to say about Teel and Bonemer?

Hopefully they start to come back to earth this weekend/next weekThey also played 3 of the worst teams in the MLB during that stretch. Edited 11 hours ago11 hr by BigHurt3515
6 hours ago6 hr Maybe Peters can give Colson a few tips on how to hit. This guy should be our centerfielder for years to come, why they are giving time in CF to Bonemer is a mystery to me, if they want him in the outfield, they should be grooming him in LF, to throw a guy out in CF where he’s never played before and with a lot more ground to cover is a big mistake. 4 hours ago4 hr Peters must be on this board and saw people talking s%*# about his slump. He said, "I'll show those fuckers."
3 hours ago3 hr I'm not sure this belongs in this thread, but I got to get it off my chest. ..........How long can our Sox keep Mune in the second spot? He has become a liability overall. For his own good and ours something has to change there. A couple of days off? DH more? Bat him in front of Peters at about 6th in the batting order. To just keep letting him whiff with men in base is not working. This is a pennant race. It's all about winning games now.
2 hours ago2 hr Was at the game last night and Burke had nothing. I was very surprised he did not give up 5 or more runs. Sean N is amazing...........that guy has saved the Sox starters all year long.It was good to see we did not burn the pen last night and they should be fresh for Minny. Although Hudson got up and warmd up on 3 different occasions. We need our starters to get this shitty streak out of their system and MAN UP. It's crunch time!ALSO, f*** the Guardians!!!!

1 hour ago1 hr Author I think Vargas is the ideal #2 hitter in today's game. He's a power guy with speed and excellent plate discipline. He'll get on but he won't clog up bases
