It's important to remember that Castillo and Doyle are also longer term projects. They weren't just for this season.

Just skip any post that’s more than 4 sentences. Anything beyond that is a form of self-pleasure you need not witness.

F$&@ you $&@hole.

You've never said one interesting or informative thing in your life that I can recall.

I honestly can't remember a single post you have ever written...yet you and DoUEvenShift get off on your stupid ass emojis ... as you tell others to ignore someone and yet still find time to pepper posts with childish reactions.

Life is too short.

Yes it was Greg775

but last I checked he wasn't paid media writing articles about Sox player personnel decisions online

The "intent" was obvious. I almost wonder if the successes this season kind of went to their head, beacuse even when you look at those successes, they took years to get Vargas right, for example. Even a Tristan Peters, who had a full spring training, took until May to start putting up numbers.

Again, I think if you were going into the winter with spring training ahead of you, and pay winter prices to bring these guys in, you get more of a benefit of the doubt. But thinking you could fix these guys in the middle of a playoff race seems pretty risky, and not how we have seen these things work out in the last few years. But of course they didn't ask about that distinction. I think the Sox have been extremely lucky at how bad everyone else around them has been, as those moves could have easily cost them the playoffs if teams like Detroit and Cleveland had gotten hot. It's a helluva gamble to make it August.

Heh, I thought I was just being a drunken prick by throwing this out there. Apparently, I'm onto something...

But if you don’t love these new White Sox for shipping out prospects for two-time Gold Glove-winner Brenton Doyle to post a .537 OPS in his first month with the team, you don’t deserve them being four games up in the loss column on the second-place Guardians with 19 left to play, thanks to a lineup powered by unheralded acquisitions, such as Miguel Vargas and Tristan Peters, turned into player-development breakthroughs.

Not sure arguing with the fans is the best approach for Fegan, but whatever. Doyle does not seem like a very good addition, same with castillo, getz has made a lot of great moves, but nobody is perfect.

On the contrary, it's a complete dogshit point by both you and Fegan.

The idea that daring to question a move means you don't deserve the team is a political press conference level of absurdity for a franchise with the history the Sox have.

Your title should be shorter

We just had 3 100 loss seasons, it's a bit rich to be lecturing the fans for critiquing what are objectively bad moves so far. If we don't win the division, it's probably because we punted a half dozen Castillo starts.

Yeah, what a pathetic point by him. I'm quoting it again despite WestEddy already doing it. This is from Fegan.

What a dumbass comment by him. If you don't love the Doyle trade, you don't deserve this White Sox team and their record. Just lol. So because they've fixed Miguel Vargas and the Peters pickup has worked, we need to blindly love every pickup they think they can "fix"? So we should ignore all context and history regarding Doyle, simply because Vargas and Peters have worked out. That's just so stupid.

What's with all these writers becoming complete shills for the organization? I swear it's gotten worse during the Getz tenure.

I mean we could bring out the Caulfield list of the 75 players they cycled through in the last few years who didn't succeed...

In Fegan's defense, he was probably trying to tell a pithy joke.

I'm not sure what being a shill for the organization means, anymore. If somebody points out that the team is in first place, is that shilling for the org?

If somebody uses that in response to any and every criticism of the team, then yes.

That's straight out of the Chris Ranger Rongey playbook of arguing he knows better than they do during post game call ins...and how dare anyone criticize the team.

Dave Wills was much better at that until he left for Tampa.

Pretty that sad beat writers have to become unofficial cheerleaders now or dare to lose access to the team, and thus, their jobs. Even national writers now like Passan are getting accused of covering up the Dodgers' financial mess and sitting on that Mark Walter story for months.

Btw, Rongey now works a morning show in St.Louis totally unrelated to sports.

That is definitely not Fegan's joking tone...it might be part sarcasm, but the majority of it is selling the success/es of Getz and Venable.

I doubt Fegan was predicting this kind of All Star downballot MVP breakthrough from Vargas when that "death camp survivor" pic, appearing isolated and abandoned in the dugout, came out in 2024.

Look at it this way...Sox somehow missed the playoffs or get swept, Murakami Mania dies out with him getting dumped on the trade market next year...Fegan's job then comes down to JR FA spending/Bonemer/Cholowsky succeeding (within the next 12 months) or they are turning into a pumpkin like the Royals.

(Also +++attendance/interest/social media engagement.)

Let's not forget the Angels Rays and Rockies are all about to start spending more FA $$$ as well.

And MVP PCA jerseys will proliferate.

The actual funniest part of this post is the supposition that I should dread the Angels and Rockies signing up the Benintendis for the next 3 years. Can you not get regular porn in China? I looked on PornHub, and they don't seem to have any "Oh Noes, My team is going to be outbid on Free Agents" Humiliation beat-off porn. I'd guess your phone has a video record option?

Dear WestEddy Feganshiller,

Who uses a phone lol?

You've heard of the iPad?

As history has taught Sox fans, repeat playoff appearances are as rare as the Hope Diamond.

The only occurence in 2020-21 caused the franchise to founder and sink like the Titanic.

Nothing is to (or "can") be taken for granted.

You know that friend who is always convinced he tells the best jokes, but everyone else just blinks back in overdone confusion?

Yeah, no idea why I thought of that.
