I feel like Peters has earned a higher spot in the lineup for the time being. Dude was on a ridiculous tear and has continued hitting. Meanwhile Ant and Mune have been struggling. Sam with a .578 OPS the last 14 days, .652 OPS the last 28 days. Peters with a ridiculous 1.122 OPS (.430 OBP) the last 28 days. Why not have him leadoff instead of Ant?

He should at least be batting 2nd against right handers.

I just wish the deadline never happened.

Their winning percentage is better post trade deadline. Hence, all of Getz’s trades were good. Get a clue, @fathom.

So 3-4 and 6 are the results that stick out?

3-4 is going to be the most common result for the majority of teams in mlb.

They've scored 3 or 4 runs 28 times. 21% of the time which is slightly below league-average for 3-4 runs, so it doesn't stick out. I'm not really seeing anything that suggests this offense is inconsistent, they actually seem to be one of the more consistent offenses in the league.

We'll take winning 2/3 every day all day and yeah it's not easy sweeping teams, especially at their house but damn it would've been sweet sweeping these stiffs

Shoulda just started with Urquidy

Great job by Urquidy

Too bad he didn't pitch a single inning that actually mattered today.

Or bat 2 nd instead of Mune.

Wasn’t Getz’s finest moment.

So Urquidy has basically always pitched well in the majors, barring the season in which he got the injury that knocked him out for a couple years. And then he pitched well in the minors. And now he's in the majors, pitching well. I don't think it's all that surprising really. I'm using a particular definition of "well" here, obviously: usable starter.

Yeah, just gave up one run but apparently Zeby Matthews is Cy Young today

As bad as the bats have been in this series i will take the 2 out of 3. That being said they need to start hitting the ball against the Astros.

Goddamit at least show us something here Mune

Mune is looking at the right field seats before he finishes his swing.

I mean ultimately these series worked out with the Sox taking 2 of 3 from Minnesota, while Cleveland loses 2 of 3 to KC.

Still sucks how both series ended with the Sox getting blanked, while the Guardians put belt to ass against the Royals.

He's been pulling off like crazy on some of his swings.

"Feast or famine" would imply that they score below that as often as they score above it, which isn't true.

They put up an above average number of runs at a top 3 rate. They score a below average number of runs at a below average rate. They are an above average offense by every metric of production. They have scored the most runs in the AL.

Folks are just annoyed when they don't score (as every fanbase is) so they imagine it happens more often than it does. Same as every fanbase thinking their team never hits rookie pitchers or always gets burned by the 9 hitter.

No CGSO at least

How many games/season did Mune play in the NPB? He sure looks like he's hit some kind of wall.

Last RBI by Murakami was August 18

That ball Mune flied out on would have been in the seats if he weren't in the terrible slump he's in, right down the middle.

LETS GO SOX!!! BACK TO BACK TO BACK IT AGAIN!!!! 😆

Whatever happened to tipping one's cap to the applauding crowd as you walk off the field?

140ish. He's at 100 this year because of the hamstring injury.
