And then he pitched well in the minors. And now he's in the majors, pitching well. I don't think it's all that surprising really. I'm using a particular definition of "well" here, obviously: usable starter.

They score a below average number of runs at a below average rate. They are an above average offense by every metric of production. They have scored the most runs in the AL.Folks are just annoyed when they don't score (as every fanbase is) so they imagine it happens more often than it does.
