This whole thing is just weird and stupid

Yup.

Hope we’re wrong and he balls out with some October magic for us and we all eat crow.

Chances of that seem next to nill.

Schriffen already STROKIN Pham. What a cuck. The same guy that told you to GTFO of the locker room. 🤣

Schriff is saying how great of a clubhouse leader Pham is. Isn't he generally regarded as being a pain in the ass?

I will be back..... let me go throw up while they talk about Tommy Pham

Career .703 ops perfect for the Sox. Trader Chris churning out the transactions like a used car dealer on comission.

Every team relies on players like Doyle and Pham.

The Sox acquired both guys with seemingly no competition for their services from any other team. Pham is 38 years old and it’s been 2 years since he received a postseason at bat.

The Mets, Orioles, and Phillies all signed Pham to minors deals this season but not one team elected to keep him for the playoff run, even though the Orioles and Phillies are still in the playoff hunt. Only the Sox actually acquired Pham with intentions of using him in a playoff run.

I didn’t see any other team names released that were mentioned to be interested in Doyle, but I guess it’s possible.

Getz and company have showed a lot of inexperience the last month.

Or, more likely, a lack of budget explains more than anything.

What's the excuse for adding Castillo's salary? We're really screwed if money is tight after that move.

They had plenty of money to use at the deadline. Used it all on Castillo. They flat out didn’t have enough quality prospects to trade with the pitching implosion this year.

The more I see of Doyle hitting the more I would rather see Pham hitting.

He’s a Braden or Ant replacement vs LHP

Will coached him in Boston apparently. Finally a dot connected.

I STILL DONT UNDERSTAND!!!!!

Yep, said it was one of his favorite players

What do we think - when John Schrifin hears himself on the call from 24 with the Pham / Contreras replay now… does he:

A.) Think he’s badass

Or B.) Blush in embarrassment and regrets we picked up Tommy again so this clip is back

Just heard this on the post-game show and there’s the answer. It was a request from Venable that Getz should have declined.

I’ll take multiple choice answer C) neither.

Fixed it for you

I don’t get this move at all. Pham hasn’t been above average against LHP since 2023 and is now 38 years old. He is also a below average defensive OF and has lost a lot of his speed. What does he bring to the table exactly?

More importantly, whose roster spot is he taking? It’s pretty wild that we gave away Hill, Periera, & Hays for nothing and now are rolling the dice an old, likely broken player. And yes, broken could also probably describe Hays and maybe even Periera to some extent, although Everson at least killed LHP when healthy.
