5 hours ago5 hr Eventually I think they try to trade him for pitching. He feels like the odd man out. I like his bat, but his defense leaves a bit to be desired. They could really benefit from an improved OF defense. Sam and Braden have hurt them out there recently.

4 hours ago4 hr My own crystal ball says that Sam's value to the line-up would not be easily replaced with Bonemer or other guy in the Minors. We know that Sam brings a lot of intangibles to the field that we love. Why project what a minor league guy might do in the future while at the same time not providing that same latitude to the guys that are already here like Braden, Sam etc.

Good depth matters a ton.

3 hours ago3 hr Like others have said, Antonacci is probably best suited as a super utility player. He plays good defense at 2B and he's brand new to the outfield. Of course there's gonna be bumps in the road defensively out there for him. I would 100% sell high on Peters and trade him for pitching in the off season. He'll be 27 next year and his underlying stats are not good. Plenty of teams will be looking to acquire a solid centerfielder

His defense is much better at 2nd. Granted, we haven't seen Sam much there, but Meidroth looks much better. I think Sam's bat is better longterm, but Meidroth's defense puts him over Sam for me.
