That’s the rule. You can have an issue with the rule but it’s was correctly enforced by the ump.

My experience in most sports with timers of this kind, when you're at that last second the officials tend to give a very long last second. For instance, the play clock in football. If the ump had said something to Colson beforehand I might look at it differently.

No it wasn't. It's not like he wasn't looking towards the pitcher when the clock hit 8 seconds.

When Peters was thrown out at 3rd. It really looked like the ump was staring him down when he called him out.

These games are ridiculous man, even when we are winning them something just detrimental is happening over and over that is needless.
