If the Sox blow it, it's just another year of Cleveland losing in the playoffs. Hey Cleveland does 1948 mean anything to you?

I remember the 1954 Indians who won 111 games and went to the World Series and lost 4 straight to Willie Mays and the New York Giants.

I happened to see the last 2 games of the 1997 World Series live in Miami when the Fish beat the Tribe in 7 games.

While watching these games i'm reminded of Murphy's law ~ "Anything that can go wrong will go wrong". while it sounds pessimistic, it often serves as a reminder to anticipate failures, faulty planning and design, and problematic backup plans . I more than others wish them to succeed . i'm running out of time here.

Murphy's Law should be renamed to Jerry's Law.

Ugh, I miss the days when we were complaining about bunting lol

Shake up in the lineup but somehow Mune stays 4th

Let's just say the pitching matchup tonight on paper doesn't bode very well for a team hitting around .200 for the month of September.

When is the last time our offense started an inning with the lead? Much easier to stay loose and hit well when you have a lead.

Let's enjoy are last day in first...

Leahy hasn't thrown more than 5 innings since July 31st, looks like they are limiting his innings a bit. He has thrown 55, 51, 63 pitches the last three starts

Yesterday sadly.

Eh, the Twinkies could surprise us.

Gotta win today. This is as close to a must win as we’ve had all year. We need a couple bounces to go our way…the baseball gods haven’t helped us at all the last couple games (nor have the Sox helped themselves).

Which inning did we start with the lead?

First inning after Meidroth leadoff Homer. We gave it right back of course.

He meant we have a lead to start the inning

As I recall the Sox once again had runners on after Meidroths homer and couldn't score any of them, perpetuating the bad feelings.

The team "should" be close offensively tbh. They scorched some balls with the bases loaded in the Pirates series and this one, and just came up empty thanks to baseball being baseball.

Ah makes sense, my mistake.

CLE up 1-0 already.

Finally a solid lineup change. Go time WHITE SOX. You’ve gotten up every time you’re on the mat so far this year and you’ll have to do it one more time in a major way over these final two weeks.

SHOW US WHAT YOURE MADE OF AND BECOME THE FUCKING STORY OF THE YEAR.

We’ve already had enough disappointment as a fanbase and I for one really want to taste another Division Championship banner.

LETS…

FUCKING…

GO…

WHITE SOX!!!!!!

I’m done watching them. Time to focus on our team 100%. They have 15 games left. If they go 11-4 and don’t win the division, hats off the Cleveland.

We still have our own destiny in front of us, so I’m just going to start focusing on that.

f*** CLEVELAND.

Was going to try to go this game tonight awhile ago but kinda glad other things came up to not watch this crap show

That inning started 0-0. I’m asking when was the last time our defense got the third out of an inning and then the offense got to START the inning with the lead.

You are a lot more optimistic than most lol. I would love to go 11-4

what's crazy to me is that these guys don't seem to have been given the information about how they're being pitched in certain situations (2 strikes, 2-0/3-0, first base open with RISP, etc)

you can go through gameday and look at almost every AB in those situations, the amount of pitches being thrown completely out of the strike zone, I don't understand how these guys don't have that data for a supposedly analytical team. that 0-2 strikeout to Grichuk was unbelievable, 90+% of pitches on 0-2 are not gonna be in the zone, how did he not know that?

not gonna matter when they get swept in Cleveland anyways
