But the odds would be terrible, it would like betting a 1-5 shot at the race track.

But I’d still win tho

  • How about you fucking win a ball game today?

  • Don’t worry Gavin, neither of those runners will score

  • We need to take 2 games. The rubber meets the road now. No excuses. We did this to ourselves and we'll have to grit our teeth and climb out of this mess somehow. They need to leave CLE up 1.5 games.

Mune played consistently well for about 85% of his career so far. I am taking the recent 15% into consideration and have some concern but I'm not ready to send him to oblivion just yet.

He's Yermin Mercedes, only that when he was hot, it lasted a bit longer but he's fallen back to earth. He may be those Japanese players whom wreck their league and do nothing in MLB, sadly.

Such as....?

There hasn't really been an example.

Now you have both Mune and Okamoto....similar mlb numbers.

Toronto invested $60 million...whatever it was.

Just never got his timing back after six weeks off and then the HR Derby.

There are 100 theories as to why...just like with Kolson and Vargas, too.

Braden has just worn down..never played this many games before and off most of 2024.

He had 8 good weeks and 5 horrible weeks.

#1 overall pick Bazzana trying to be a better player than Chase Meidroth but he's yet to prove it.

The Gallo and Yermin comps got me twisted. I had such high hopes for Mune. He needs an entire off-season to recalibrate at this point. Hope he comes back refreshed next year.

Can't help but think that this game will be close and wondering how Venable will do something stupid and cause us a 1 run loss.

Where the eff are the coaches at. How are they not kicking the players in the ass to get more urgency.

Will has no answers either.

Will has an easy answer to Mune batting cleanup. Get him the hell out of there, and have him grab some bench or hit 8 th spot. Give priority to our contact hitters. Get some hit and run plays in, and I hate to say it, but bring back the bunt with those that are proficient in it. Need to mix small ball with HR swings.

Yeah I want Jake as my boss

We've gotten real lucky on some balls hit hard up the middle.

The coaches are following Will’s lead. Will has three speeds of sense of urgency: slow, slower and slowest.

Yermin was "good" for about 75 plate appearances. We gotta get a better comp. You could reach for Bryan LaHair but his perma-slump started in June so he also lacked the staying power Mune showed this season. And frankly I don't think you should ignore the track record of super-elite play in Japan. A lot of these MLB flashes in the pan had unexceptional minor league careers before their breakouts.

If you swing 3-0 in a blowout, you're fired

The Yermin comp is terrible. Yermin hit like 6 homers and was good for a month. Mune has hit 31 homers. Recent slump aside, he is way more talented than Yermin.

You’re right, I’d don't care about pitching matchups, go with Beni and Grichuk batting 3rd and cleanup the rest of the way.

I wonder if Mune went through extended slumps like this in Japan. He looks completely lost.

More just someone who went from awesome to unplayable seemingly overnight. Meanwhile Soriano has a no-hitter thru 4
