Well I don't think its out of the question that they just lost Colson for at least 2 weeks. Maybe that helps at this point, tbh. He's been brutal.

Grich needs to be playing everyday at this point. I'd move Meidroth to SS and Sam to 2B if Colson is unavailable.

Agreed, but that makes our defense worse sadly

Didn't even bother turning this game on after last night. Detroit is going to sweep these bums. Season was all smoke and mirrors. Another poorly managed, poorly coached team. Awful trade deadline made

Just got back from physical therapy.

Glad I missed this again.

Welcome to second place.

5-12 in the last 18 games.

Tom Petty's song, "Free Fallin'" is going through my mind.

Again a starter is only able to go four innings which put a strain on an overworked bullpen.

And yet AGAIN another clutch two out RBI hit kills them.

Now they face a hot Tigers team back in the race.

I'm sorry but these guys look D.O.A.

Just somehow scrape together five more wins, call it a winning season and head to the golf course.

This team is toast. No playoffs. The Tigers could very well beat them 4 in a row. Almost every one of them looks scared and are just waiting to lose. Like others here have mentioned the worst part of this collapse is now there is very little to look forward to next season. Most everyone has looked like trash down the stretch and no one has stepped up.

Too lazy to look it up, what’s the season record vs Detroit

6-3. Every series against them has been a sweep. 2 for the Sox. 1 for DET.

They were so mentally strong all year only to collapse at the most vital time.

Who do they call up? Just checked Charlotte IF roster...Put Elko at 1B? How about Mario Camilletti.... no idea who he is but what the hell, why not?

Hold on didn't check who's on the 40 man already.....Rikuu? Junior Perez?

I get the sky is falling bit, but like, you do realize how difficult it would be for the Sox to actually miss the playoffs. Even if the Sox go 4-6 ROS, it would require the Jays to go 7-3 or better and/or the Rangers to go 7-4 or better. For each game better than 4-6 for the Sox, it becomes nearly impossible for the Jays or Rangers to pass them. Backing into the 6 seed would be disappointing, but it would legit be hard for the Sox to not make the playoffs.

Quero will just come back up.

I support full f*** it mode and call up Bonemer.

Bet your money then. I wouldn’t touch it with my own. These guys are choking hard and fast.

A young team that had so much progress is getting blown up.

Right now we have to look at this season as a stepping stone after 3 disastrous seasons, I’m not giving up as they can still win it with a fairly easy schedule.

But with the way they’re playing, there’s no guarantee they even wind up with 81 wins. I think they’re just totally gassed.

It starts tomorrow with Southside jerseys, Schriff, and SOUTH SIDE STANDDDDDDDDDD UP!

Jays up 3-1 and threatening for more

My thinking as well. It would take an epic fail and the others to play well. Do you Sox take less than a split in the KC and Rockies series? I seriously doubt the Tigers sweep a 4 game series. This series absolutely sucked but the Sox showed more life than I expected them to.

Not sure if it's better for Detroit to come into town with momentum or for the Jays to win. Texas is ahead of them anyhow.

Do you realize how easily the Sox could end this going 2-8 or 3/7?

Jays get Rangers coming up and are able to pitch their big 2

Yeah, love the poster, but any projections on what people think the Sox should be able to do have very little meaning to me. They’re in full on choke mode and have almost an entire roster of guys performing badly.

Cleveland took advantage of our mistakes. If it wasn't for the Meidroth error in the 2nd inning and Smith walking hitters they would not have scored. They don't scare me. I still think the White Sox will pass them and finish in first place.

I’m also still looking at it as our team controlling their destiny. We need to get on a roll and see a return of the good times like nobody’s business.

I agree. I think winning the division is probably not in our favor, but I don't expect the Sox to go 3-7 against Det, KC and Colorado. Is it possible? Sure. I think 6-7 wins is far more likely, though.

You can thank the coaching staff for this one. Kay was rolling.

I don't see it as that likely, but its certainly possible.

Everyone has basically said, oh we just need to go .500 the rest of the way and Cleveland has to win so and so many games. Well, we've won a total of 5 games in September. Cleveland didn't even play that well and they're now alone in first place. Turns out your schedule doesn't matter when the offense just collapses onto itself. And in the past 2 days, I guess it's the bullpen's turn to collapse.

Hold on to those jerseys because once the Sox are moved to the RR yard, you won't see them again.

hahahahahahahahahaha

I could just as easily see them go 8-2 or 7-3 as I could see them going 2-8 or 3-7.
