2 of the 3 guys are in their first full MLB season. It could also be that they got figured out, as both were big question marks coming into this season. Somehow I feel best about Vargas as he has done this before and he doesn't have the same holes in his game as Colson and Mune.

To be fair, the entire middle of the line up looks like it has been eating Michigan lettuce and shitting themselves for the better part of September. If you had anything at all happening with your most important hitters, some questionable moves could look a whole lot different. Of course one can say that he wasn't able to swing the bat even before he got hit based on his miserable second half.

I figure it’s gotta be both, but at this point I’d have to assign more blame to the coaching staff. I’m of the belief that the physical struggles are a product of the mental struggles.

I’ve been willing to accept Venable’s shortcomings on the tactical side with the idea that he excels in the clubhouse and getting the guys ready to play each day. That appeared to be the case for most of the season.

With this recent collapse, it seems like he’s not pushing any right buttons to help ease the pressure they’re clearly feeling.

It’s obviously not an easy job, but it literally is his job and he’s failing at it.

Once Ishbia takes over the organization we have to hope that it goes from the worst to one of the best. With JR everything is done on the cheap with bad GMs,bad managers, bad coaches and a bad farm system.

I actually still believe a Cleveland sweep was the only true disaster. Plus they did show some fight while I was afraid they might not be competitive at all.

Also.....you have to make that damn catch last night...they were that close to taking 2 of 3.

Bullpen has to stop all the bases on balls in the next 3 series.

Got me thinking, how did George Halas do it for all his years as owner, general manager and coach of the Bears, not sure but I bet he was the treasurer too and did the bank runs on Monday mornings.
