Usually can't get away with walking everybody (and being the worst in MLB at holding runners on) unless you can strike guys out at a Hagen Smith level

He has eaten a ton of innings and most of the time he’s been pretty good. He’s had a few blow ups but with how much they asked him to pitch it should’ve been expected. My rule with him is if he goes 2, I expect him to give up 1. If he’s better than that it’s gravy.

Pretty consistent across the board IMOThat's a pretty big difference in ERA and FIP and I think his xFIP is around 4.5. He definitely overachieved quite a bit this year. Doesn't mean he hasn't been valuable (he has), we just shouldn't expect this to carry over to next year if we bring him back.
