What's the point of having it then, let someone else with the resources to actually use it. The logical move is to wait and see on Colson for at least another year. That's a LONG way from the .840 OPS he put up in 2025.

4 hours ago4 hr just to take some of the slack off colson here, if murakami didn't miss 6 weeks bc of injury, he would easily have over 270 strikeouts by now, nobody can argue that

I want to see at least 1 more full season out of him before judging too much.
3 hours ago3 hr If we can be objective about this, Colson's struggles are greatly amplified by the fact that the Sox are going to the postseason. There's a lot on the line and him being in an extended sophomore slump is not helping at all and unfortunately turning many Sox fans against him, some even going so far to label him a bust.I say that if the Sox had the same record as last year, it would be a much more common mindset to give Colson next year to see if he is 2025/first-half 2026 Colson, or if 2nd half 2026 is the real Colson, or if the answer is somewhere in the middle.
2 hours ago2 hr I’m as down on Colson as anyone, especially with his stratospheric K rate and one dimensional power approach, but he’s 24. Look at Vargas’ age 24 season. We need to give him a chance to turn it around. If his age 25 season doesn’t show signs of improvement, we have depth.
