September 22, 200421 yr Pauly becomes only the third person in White Sox history, joining Frank Thomas and Albert Belle, to hit 40 homers in a single season as a member of the Chicago White Sox Congrats on a great season Pauly!!!!
September 22, 200421 yr Paulie A bright spot in a very disappointing season. Didn't realize it was only Frank and Joey before Paulie... ...all this time and only 2 ( now 3 ) 40-bomb guys....yikes.
September 22, 200421 yr i think he deserves a little chant. PAULIE PAULIE PAULIE ...those were the days.
September 22, 200421 yr And there were people that wanted him traded last season. I kept saying he's worth holding onto because you won't get proper value in return. Imagine if we had traded a 40 HR guy for some 5th starter. Oh there would be hell to pay!
September 22, 200421 yr I guarantee you that Konerko and Lee will both be hot commodities in trade talks this summer. I honestly believe we could get some team to overpay for Lee or Konerko, and possibly gain a very good reliever, a pretty good prospect, and a solid position player. Maybe I'm off on that, but I'm expecting a lot in return - and I mean a lot - if we trade Lee or PK. But, either way, great season Paully! Gotta love Paully Walnuts!
September 22, 200421 yr How can you not like this guy? He just goes out there and does his business... Congrats PK! You were one of the few reasons to watch this team.
September 22, 200421 yr Way to go Paulie! It's truely amazing for him to bounce back like this from last year.
September 22, 200421 yr Way to go Paulie! It's truely amazing for him to bounce back like this from last year. Absolutely, I remember those Konerko for Odalis Perez rumors well last off-season. Congrats to Paulie for bouncin back.
September 22, 200421 yr Paulie A bright spot in a very disappointing season. Didn't realize it was only Frank and Joey before Paulie... ...all this time and only 2 ( now 3 ) 40-bomb guys....yikes. Ya, that is pretty bad for a team that has been around as long as the white sox.
September 22, 200421 yr Congrats to Paulie! Thanks for making tonight brightening up the night in this dark and disappointing season.
September 22, 200421 yr A few interesting things to point out. The Sox, as has been pointed out, have had only 3 40 homer guys in the history of the team(Frank multiple times, Belle only once if I remember right, and now Paulie). Both the 1996 and 1997 Rockies had 3 guys each that hit 40 homers(Galarraga, Castilla, Burks in 96, Galarraga, Castilla, Walker in 97).

September 22, 200421 yr Props to Paulie. But if were gonna trade him this is the time to do it. His value is as high as it's EVER gonna be.
September 22, 200421 yr Remember that game against the O's at the Cell earlier this season? It was pouring rain and we had already dropped the first of the doubleheader. I believe Eric Bedard was pitching in a middle inning and the game looked like it might end very soon due to rain. The Paulie Chant starts up and PK crushes one out to left field. That is my greatest Paulie moment of this season. Well that and him stealing 2nd in KC in the opener.
September 22, 200421 yr We would have to get a top notch pitcher or top notch releif pitcher for me to accept any tade of Pauie.

I agree, I said that in another thread as well, when he hit the ball, there was lightning in the backround, it was awesome!! I will never forget that, until we trade him and make it to the series :finger
September 23, 200421 yr Props to Paulie. But if were gonna trade him this is the time to do it. His value is as high as it's EVER gonna be. If he can some how end the season with an average of .290 with an obp of .365-.370. Oh damn that would be insane trade bait.
