Congratulations to Paul Konerko

I guarantee you that Konerko and Lee will both be hot commodities in trade talks this summer. I honestly believe we could get some team to overpay for Lee or Konerko, and possibly gain a very good reliever, a pretty good prospect, and a solid position player. Maybe I'm off on that, but I'm expecting a lot in return - and I mean a lot - if we trade Lee or PK.

But, either way, great season Paully! Gotta love Paully Walnuts! :cheers :headbang

A few interesting things to point out.

The Sox, as has been pointed out, have had only 3 40 homer guys in the history of the team(Frank multiple times, Belle only once if I remember right, and now Paulie).

Both the 1996 and 1997 Rockies had 3 guys each that hit 40 homers(Galarraga, Castilla, Burks in 96, Galarraga, Castilla, Walker in 97).

That 1996 Rockies team went 55-26 at home and 28-53 on the road. :bang

Remember that game against the O's at the Cell earlier this season? It was pouring rain and we had already dropped the first of the doubleheader. I believe Eric Bedard was pitching in a middle inning and the game looked like it might end very soon due to rain. The Paulie Chant starts up and PK crushes one out to left field. That is my greatest Paulie moment of this season. Well that and him stealing 2nd in KC in the opener.

I agree, I said that in another thread as well, when he hit the ball, there was lightning in the backround, it was awesome!! I will never forget that, until we trade him and make it to the series :finger
