They had a bunch of young players that had career years ... so far.  What they do from here on out, remains to be seen.  The odds are some of them are going to at least perform as well, if not better, than last year.

What I'm saying .. the key word in my previous post ... is young players progress and it's a reasonable conclusion to assume that they will continue progressing.

There's just nothing there you can point to that suggests a decline is coming for their main bats in 05. They look ready to fire on all cylinders

in their lineup. It would be a surprise if they don't have the best team BA in the ALC in 05. Certainly top 5 in the AL.

 

At the same time I believe they could have the WORST pitching staff in the ALC in 05.

There's not much to go on with 3 yr avgs there & the ST numbers don't inspire much confidence either. That's why they don't scare me.

In my opinion the Tribe as of now have only 2 hitters that i dont want to face in Victor Martinez and Travis Hafner.... i think in the long run Sizemore will be a good hitter too but as of now i really only see those 2 being a problem.

We already have enough shaky spots on our team as it is.

Both teams are very shaky. To me, it's a toss up over who is going to be better.

Tomorrow's a day game...Buehrle was 5-0 w/ a 3.28 ERA during day games in 2004.

Tommmorow could quite possibly be the most enjoyable day of my life.

Buehrle's been consistently great for ages now, and we have a great bullpen, so I'm not worried about how things will end up pitchingwise. The lineup is still suspect, but I hope they prove me wrong...

well i dont get home from school until 3 so going to miss the 1st hour but ill prob keep up with it during my last period use the gameday thing on mlb.com .
