2nd place: barraco's

Phil's is my usual target, but I might be a little biased since I've been getting it for as long as I can remember.

I second Aurelio's.

And I know people probably won't select a well known pizzeria, but Sbarro is a close second.

Not in Chicago per say, but I like Kaisers in Gurnee.

Palermo's

Agreed! Great sauce, great sausage, great crust.

Little Franks in Burbank comes in a good second. First time I bought one from there, I bought a regular crust, sausage, pepperoni, mushroom, and it was heavier than a deep dish. Those guys LOAD the toppings on, just like Phils in Chicago Ridge. I'm not a deep dish person, but a friend of mine bought a deepdish at Phils, and said it weighed a little over 12 POUNDS!

I'll go with Home Run Inn on this one...

We'd have to do seperate brackets for thin and deep dish..

Make that two votes for HRI. The original location on 31st, can't speak for any others.

Sout Siiiiide Suckas recognize.

I don't know if it's even still there, but J&J's Pizza Shack in Portage always made one hell of a meal.

Yup, right by Uno. I think they have the same ownership/are the same place essentially or something like that.

Deep dish? Lou's Sausage

Thin, sausage, green pepper, onion, mushroom? Pat's Pizza in Grayslake

Bacon? Rosati's

There is no way a true pizza gourmet could get everything at one place.

Must be a newer place, have you been over to Bill's or Pat's (Mundelein and Grayslake)

Aurelio's

Fifth Quarter bar in south suburb makes a mean pizza also

Bill's Pub? Of course.

Kaisers has been around forever. Off Route 21 near Fatman's.
