He pitched extremely well. Same could have happened to Cotts.

Yeah, but if Ozzie wanted to give Cotts some closing experience, this would have been a perfect situation.

White Sox Winner!

Quick question....why Thornton and not Cotts?  I don't get it.

I can't watch it but it sounds like some bad luck for Matt so f ar this inning.

It sounds like it's been nothing but dumb luck, I thought? In the ninth inning, I mean.

Hooker heals and all.  :headshake

97 mph.

You know...as a south suburban resident, I've always liked Curtis Granderson.

Awesome outing for Thornton! Looked like the best pitcher today.

Boy this was about one swing away from being a 2000 post thread.

One of the more positives to come out of this game: Thornton threw 22 pitches, 19 of them were strikes.

Anyone who wasnt actaully watching the game should not comment on how Thornton pitched. He looked VERY good.

Eff that.

He sucks!

On the other hand, showing confidence in Thornton will help.

Tony....I didn't see him pitch, and I my comment was in regards to THORNTON being on the mound. Rather, I thought it would be a good situation for Cotts to try and get the final 3 outs of the game. He hasn't had a lot of experience with that. I do like that Ozzie kept Thornton in to face Granderson though. Politte vs Granderson has already backfired once for us.

Gave up 9 runs 21 hits and still win that is a rarity

:sweep:

Garland gets the win, if he deserved it is another though

:headshake

Great job:

Just one of those days...everyone was hitting on both sides, at least we are able to win these sorts of games this year. Last year we just wouldn't have been able to.

:sweep: :sweep:

good to sweep

good to see that the bats came out

Thome now has a four game home run streak.
