That was a damn good job, Jim, Paul, and Jermaine. You guys rock when we get runners on with nobody out.

Wow, 1st and 2nd nobody on and nothing. Amazing.

They couldn't hit forever.

Or maybe one of them could have come up with atleast a single in one of these clutch spots. I really don't think that's too much to ask.

Haven't seen a hard hit ball off Farnsworth this entire series.

This has really been pathetic.

Teams that rely so much on their offense are usually dissappointed when the season is over.

Another absolutely pathetic at-bat by Konerko. Where is the f***ing bat speed?

he is coming off flulike symptoms, so I'll give him the benefit of the doubt. Oh and BTW our 3-4-5 are just about useless today

I should add, I'm not about to blame the offense since we have all these wins thanks to it and its bound to go cold. Too bad our pitching blows and your post is spot on. Our pitching doesn't pick up and the season is over, they MAY make the playoffs, but they won't go anywhere unless the pitching turns around.

Just not a good weekend for the 3-4-5. What can you do. Go get em either in the 9th or tomorrow. They haven't had a series like this all year. Not much you can do about it.

Fields pulled from the Charlotte game for a pinch runner. Wonder if he was traded....

Everyone, welcome to 2001-4.

I feel like Willie right now, I really want to punch a hole in my wall, and I can say I have NEVER been close to having that feeling before.

Harris?

Personally, I'm not expecting Dye to continue to put up the amazing numbers he has all season. Also, I'm really worried about Konerko's approach at the plate. If our 3-4-5 continue to struggle the next 2 weeks, we're going to be in a lot of trouble in regards to making the playoffs.

I really don't think that's a sign of anything but i truely hope it is.

Yep, I'm not about ready to throw our 3-4-5 under the bus though. They've carried this offense all season.

Heads just told me that Josh Fields was pulled from the game in Charlotte. Is he traded or did he get hurt?

Freddy still in. Interesting.

c'mon man, i'm usually one of the more positive ones on here, but it's not like we have been playing good ball the past couple weeks.

The worry on soxtalk is warranted for once.

Knowing how this wknd is going, we can probably assume an injury. :P

If you would have told me that our 1 and 2 hitters reached base 7 times through 7 innings I would think we'd have 6 or 7 runs by now.

They've been doing it all year. It's just the last week or so that they haven't come through. Logically that would happen eventually. The baserunning has been more annoying.

Pods and Gooch have been doing there job today. Thome, Pauly and Dye havent. It should be at least 6-5 by now.

The windmill at my local minature golf course was taken down. I wonder it it's been traded to the Sox to become the new third base coach.

We should bump some threads from a couple of weeks ago when people argued we didn't need pitching help because the offense would carry us. We'll see what happens when our 3-4-5 guys go on a slump.
