Matt Garza and Sean Tracey each have 4 hit shutouts going thru 7.

What about the strikeout differential between the two? I'm guessing they're in favor of Garza.

it's academic

this is a REALLY bad ump behind the plate.

righty/lefty

Balta, fair points and I am not saying Mackowiak is a good CF, he isn't. I am stating why Guillen has him in there.

But it comes down to pitching doesn't it? Don't the pitchers have to pitch over mistakes?

There's only so many mistakes that you can expect a pitcher to deal with IMO. He shouldn't have to put up with one of the worst Center Fielders in baseball when the best is sitting on the bench. Especially since the one on the bench has finally learned how to hit on occasion. And on top of that, most of them I wouldn't call mistakes, since a fly ball to Center Field is usually something that should be turned into an out.

DAM, i thought Uribe got that one

As you said, it probably would have been nice if our sinker ball pitcher would have thrown sinkers to a power hitter in a 2 on situation. I'm still of the belief that we need our best defensive team on the field when Garland and Buehrle pitch.

Thank God we put that extra offense in our 8 and 9 slots.

Scott Podsednik, I'd like you to have yourself a night.

That was bad, this ump FRIGGIN sucks

It was a bad call, but looked like a very good pitch to bunt for Mackowiak.

What are the chances he takes one a foot off the outside corner for strike 3?

Pods, where have you been?

Wow...keep going Pods! I thought Crede would score on that with 2 outs.

SCOTTY Woo Woo!

PODS!

Thank you Cora for holding the runner.

If Rob were to get a bunt down.........

holy christ pods maybe getting back to normal?

Pods has had a lot more run production this season.

This game should be 2-2. Anywho...
