Adopt a team for the stretch Run

Featured Replies

Since our team is obviously out. :crying

Who is your top alternative for the stretch run?

Teams currently in the postseason(If playoffs started today):

AL

Red Sox

Yankees

Indians

Angels

NL

Mets

Cubs

Dbacks

Padres

Teams within 5 games of division or Wildcard:

AL

Tigers

Mariners

NL

Phillies

Braves

Cardinals

Brewers

Dodgers

Rockies

I am adopting the Phillies

Phillies for obvious reasons, but my 2nd team has always been the Padres. So I am pulling for a Phillies vs Padres NLCS, if I get that, I don't know who I would root for.

Padres. Teams with former Cub players usually do well pretty well in these situations. And the first guy to pop out at me was Greg Maddux.

Phillies all the way. I've been supporting them all year, don't plan on stopping now.

Also, yay college football :P

I dare a team to pitch to Geoff Blum in the 14th inning in the playoffs. Let's just hope Chris Young can get healthy.

I can't believe nobody has taken the Devil Rays -- they're clearly the team Sox fans need to be rooting for right about now. They're only three back!!!!

^^^^^^

I second that.

Phillies are good. Braves are a hope. Padres are good. Brewers I hope. No problem rooting for these Indians. No problem rooting for these Red Sox. No problem rooting for the Mariners.

Go D-Rays!

^^^^^^^

Yea that.

Arizona love that young team and if the world series pattern continues the NL West should win this year.

I like to see the Cubs, but on the other hand I would prefer they wait till next year to win it all that way it would be 100 years between WS wins.

Dodgers. I lived out in North Ridge for a good chunk of time and my gf's mom at the time was a huge dodger fan, since she was originally from Brooklyn and moved out to LA with her family the same year (1958). it rubbed off on me i've been a fan since then.

By now people might know that I am a Cardinals fan (Sox and Cards = completely anti-Cubs), so I'm rooting for them (went to a Cards game last month, too), and other than the Cards, I'm rooting for the Phillies (one of the reasons is obvious). Also, I REALLY want the yanks not to make it to the post-season (yes, I'm a Yanks troll). Go Boston!
