I didn't realize they started selling porn.

Why buy that when you can watch it for free on the internet?

Besides, you only need 5 minutes at a time.

That's something I'll never understand. I'm dumbfounded that that industry still makes millions. Who is still dumb enough to pay?

Watched The Devil's Rejects last night. Not as good as 1000 Corpses IMO but solid nonetheless.

Whoa, I thought the Devils Rejects was great. Top notch. 1000 Corpses is nowhere near for me, but it's still special in its own way.

500 Days of Summer was a very enjoyable film

Watched It Might Get Loud last night. Pretty good.

Had the day off, so I saw Book of Eli yesterday. Went in expecting a lame version of The Road. Came out pleasantly surprised - it was actually a pretty good film. Not quit 4 star material (there were a few inconsistencies that were hard not to notice, possible due to deleted scenese), but overall, it was worth the price of admission. I'd recommend it.

I am so glad to read that. I want to see it but was fearful it would be bad.

I saw that and Away We Go and both were good, but not great movies. Great rentals though for lazy nights.

Oh Gawd. . .

yep

Watched "The Hurt Locker" last night. Great movie, hope it wins the Oscar.

Onde vivem dos monstros finally is hitting brazil...can't wait.

"MacGruber" just looks awful.

Of course, why should anyone expect a good movie out of an awful SNL sketch?

Isn't SNL awful period?

Watched The Pianist for the first time since I watched it back when it first came out and it just utterly gets to me how we as human beings have done unspeakably horrible things to each other because of race, religion, nationality etc...the human race sucks.

Sure if you just look at all the bad, there is a lot of good the human race has done too, even in that movie it shows some good in how people risk their lives to help save someone with no benefit to themselves.

Exactly, plus it's not as though each and every society on Earth has a history of genocide and mass executions.

Though some of that is a function of the society's ability to commit said acts. I feel like people are inherently bad and self serving, but that many people are aware enough to not act on those impulses.

Watched Adventureland the other night. It wasn't at ALL what I was expecting, but a decent flick.

Finally saw the last Star Trek movie. Very good.

I also saw Jennifer's Body. Very not good.

Watched "Watchmen" over the weekend. Never read the graphic novel version. Could see how a fan of the novel could really enjoy the movie, but knowing nothing about it, the movie was somewhat slow for me. Having to tell like 5+ origin stories really seemed to hurt it.

As a long-time fan of the graphic novel, the film was initially a bit disappointing, but successive viewings have made me like it more each time. I think they did a really good job capturing the eras of the first and second-generation heroes in particular.

I never knew anything of the novel and I know the ending was changed(Knowing the novel ending I think for the better) but I loved the movie. Probably a top3 movie of the year for me.
