October 3, 201015 yr QUOTE (Balta1701 @ Oct 3, 2010 -> 04:12 PM) Yesterday was a surprise day off of practice from Thibs. "Boozer said he tripped over his gym bag running to get the door." - David Schuster
October 4, 201015 yr who actually buys it, tripping over a gym bag? i smell something fishy. good thing that boozer is ambidextrous
October 4, 201015 yr btw, can someone remove the poll at the top of this thread? it's totally irrelevant right now, and it only brings back bad memories to bulls fans.
October 4, 201015 yr Just watch out, if Boozer trips into a doorknob next... Also, it is sounding like a Noah extention might be done.
October 4, 201015 yr QUOTE (thxfrthmmrs @ Oct 3, 2010 -> 08:02 PM) btw, can someone remove the poll at the top of this thread? it's totally irrelevant right now, and it only brings back bad memories to bulls fans. I think we need a new thread.
October 4, 201015 yr QUOTE (Balta1701 @ Oct 3, 2010 -> 08:24 PM) I think we need a new thread. I deleted the poll. We can start a new one if you like, but I was going to wait until after the preseason was over.
October 4, 201015 yr I got used to Boozer missing a lot of time in Utah. Hopefully he can stay healthy most of the time for you. Good luck though.
October 4, 201015 yr Noah agrees to extension, 5 years/60M. http://blogs.bulls.com/2010/10/bulls-reach...ah-sources-say/ Edited October 4, 201015 yr by Quinarvy
October 4, 201015 yr QUOTE (Quinarvy @ Oct 3, 2010 -> 09:28 PM) Noah agrees to extension, 5 years/60M. http://blogs.bulls.com/2010/10/bulls-reach...ah-sources-say/ Told y'all it'd get done. It's an expensive deal for him and probably more than he's worth under this salary cap...but the Bulls aren't playing for cap space any more. If he hit the FA market under this agreement, he'd make considerably more than that.
October 4, 201015 yr Author QUOTE (knightni @ Oct 3, 2010 -> 02:56 PM) 8 weeks starting from right now is only 15 regular season games. That's a lot of games.
October 4, 201015 yr QUOTE (Steve9347 @ Oct 4, 2010 -> 09:53 AM) That's a lot of games. Were you genuinely expecting Boozer to play >70 games a season on average?
October 4, 201015 yr Author QUOTE (Balta1701 @ Oct 4, 2010 -> 08:57 AM) Were you genuinely expecting Boozer to play >70 games a season on average? No, not at all. Starting out with best-case scenario of 67 games played means he'll probably play less than 50. It just seemed like Jeremy was saying 15 games as if it were no biggie.
October 4, 201015 yr QUOTE (Steve9347 @ Oct 4, 2010 -> 10:19 AM) It just seemed like Jeremy was saying 15 games as if it were no biggie. It's not as much of a "biggie" as if it would have happened on opening night and he'd have been out for 30+.
October 4, 201015 yr QUOTE (knightni @ Oct 4, 2010 -> 02:28 PM) It's not as much of a "biggie" as if it would have happened on opening night and he'd have been out for 30+. OTOH...then he'd have had the chance to practice with the team for a month. Gibson and Noah could have benefited hugely from that. Johnson and Asik possibly as well.
October 4, 201015 yr Just when you thought ESPN couldn't get any more ridiculous... ESPN's Eastern bias taking talents to South Beach Already weary of "Miami Thrice" and ESPN's incessant spotlight on LeBron James, Dwyane Wade, Chris Bosh and the highly touted Heat? Brace yourself. ESPN.com is set for an Oct. 11 launch of "The Heat Index," a special section on the site devoted to daily, season-long coverage of the Heat and their trio of superstars. To that end, they have hired longtime Miami Herald beat writer Michael Wallace and Brian Windhorst, who has covered James since middle school for the Cleveland Plain Dealer and written two books on the two-time NBA MVP. Site features will include "Chase for 72," an automated, daily forecast of how many games the Heat will win, including a projection of the odds of the Heat matching the 1995-96 Bulls' record of 72 wins; "Tracking the Big 3," an automated tracking of how James, Wade and Bosh stack up against the best trios in NBA history; and "The Scene," covering the culture, scene and lifestyle angles tied to South Beach as it relates to the Heat. All well and good, if you're a Miami fan. For everyone else, perhaps "The Hate Index" would be more appropriate.

October 4, 201015 yr QUOTE (LittleHurt05 @ Oct 4, 2010 -> 02:47 PM) Just when you thought ESPN couldn't get any more ridiculous... what if the heat struggles with chemistry and rhythm right out of the game, or if wade goes down. If they lose 10 of the first 25-30 games or so, ESPN would have to shamefully take that section down. what a shame on those bastards. Edited October 4, 201015 yr by thxfrthmmrs

Plenty of people believed the same kind of stuff when Boston brought in Ray Allen and Kevin Garnett. I hate that team, but there is no one who can touch them barring something insane. They will win the NBA title this year.

As it stands right now, I feel the Lakers will tear them apart in the paint.
October 5, 201015 yr QUOTE (kjshoe04 @ Oct 4, 2010 -> 07:45 PM) Not quite that sure yet. As it stands right now, I feel the Lakers will tear them apart in the paint. Disagree strongly. Bynum is already injured until December at earliest. I wouldn't ever depend on him anymore.
