There was very little chance of winning this game. Ever since Thornton had his elbow issue, he's been a lot more hittable.

Oh shut up, it's important to win so that the 5,000k in attendance in August are happy! They could lose every game the rest of the way, and it would be the best thing that could happen.

 

I realize you're joking. But ain't nothing more annoying to me than a .500 (or a few games above or under) season. I remember in 2002 we were 12-15 games below .500 all year before a dumbass hot final month (led by Joe Crede) saw us finish the season at 81-81. I remember Hawk saying something like "You know, with the way the team has played this final month, this season to me has been saved." I wanted to jump through the TV and decapitate his ass when he said that stupid ass s***.

We should just start playing like absolute s*** to get a good draft pick for next year.

Every thing that Strasburg threw today moved. That was the most accurate depiction of a Bugs Bunny curve that i've ever seen.

Sunday was an aberration that this organization thinks is the reality.

Now that the front office realizes we're screwed, they should put him on the freaking DL to save him for the future.

And I'm fine with that, it was a good pick. It's when you end up in the 15-20 range even though you were never really in contention.
