With these mid 30 year old relievers that have spent over a decade in the minors with countless organization it's just impossible to know. If I had to guess I'd say we just burned his final option at least that's what the limited research I did in the offseason told me.
July 1, 201015 yr I saw Williams warming up in the pen yesterday, and I was concerned. Rightfully so because he promptly gave up a hit to the guy he was brought in to face and get out. Who cares about lefty on lefty when the lefty pitcher you use is no good?
