April 8, 201114 yr Foo Album Streamed I'm a little late with that link, as I'm sure some have seen it already, but damn if it isn't nice to hear the new album before it launches.
April 9, 201114 yr Walk is probably my fav song from the album so far. It's pretty good, but a lot of the songs are very similar. I'd give it 7.5/10.
April 9, 201114 yr With the Sox up and the Bulls and Hawks games over, I switched to VH1 last night and watched the Foo Fighters' new "Back and Forth" documentary instead of the end of the ballgame. Good decision on several fronts. I liked it a lot.
April 11, 201114 yr I'm biased, but man..loving the new Foo CD. Dear Rosemary and These Days are 2 of my favorites so far.
April 11, 201114 yr QUOTE (Capn12 @ Apr 11, 2011 -> 08:22 AM) I'm biased, but man..loving the new Foo CD. This.
April 11, 201114 yr I was just bored and flipping through channels on Friday- have the Foo Fighters really gotten that big that they warrant selling out Wembley? Is Monkey Wrench such a fantastic song that it justifies a drawn out 6 minute finale? They seem like such a "meh" band to me. I'll admit I haven't given them an extended listen, but thats only because what I've heard is so vanilla. Edited April 11, 201114 yr by Swingandalongonetoleft

April 11, 201114 yr QUOTE (Steve9347 @ Apr 11, 2011 -> 11:25 AM) Uh, yes, the Foo Fighters are f***ing huge. And yes, Monkey Wrench rocks. Quoted for Truth. Digging the new album. I like "Bridge Burning" "Dear Rosemary" and "Arlandria" a lot.
April 11, 201114 yr Someone told me that there is a LASERS part 2, with like 15-16 unreleased Lupe songs. If there is, I will cry with joy, but I can't find it anywhere online.

I have seen MANY huge bands in concert and they are definitely in my top 3 of live performances I have seen
April 11, 201114 yr I saw Foo Fighters in 1995 at the Metro. Looking back I cant believe my parents let me go.

I really want to like them, as I love Dave Grohl, but every time I try I just can't do it. Self-titled is a solid album.. outside of that, I'm just never really been impressed. And I've given them a fair shot, I just find them fairly boring. Edited April 12, 201114 yr by Felix
April 12, 201114 yr The first album was the only Foo Fighters album that I owned. I kind of went in a different direction with my taste (it was the mid 90s) and nothing was bringing back Nirvana. Admittedly Ive only listened to the songs that are on the radio, its just one of those things.
April 12, 201114 yr Saw Foo Fighters live in 08, they're fantastic to see live compared to other Rock Bands for sure. Best of You, My Hero and Learn to Fly probably my 3 favourites.
April 12, 201114 yr Love the Foos, but I disagree as to self-titled being the best. Their best, IMO, is The Colour and the Shape, followed by There Is Nothing Left to Lose and then Self-Titled.
April 12, 201114 yr QUOTE (farmteam @ Apr 12, 2011 -> 12:58 PM) Love the Foos, but I disagree as to self-titled being the best. Their best, IMO, is The Colour and the Shape, followed by There Is Nothing Left to Lose and then Self-Titled. I'll take "Echoes, Silence, Patience, and Grace" as their 2nd best, behind "The Colour and the Shape".
April 13, 201114 yr I am really liking this new album on the second run through. I Should Have Known has a nice lo-fi Black Keys sound to the vocals. Which reminds me, I still need to pick up their last album.
April 16, 201114 yr QUOTE (MHizzle85 @ Mar 15, 2011 -> 03:30 PM) At this time tomorrow, I'll be on a flight to Austin, TX for South by Southwest. Totally forgot to comment on this. SXSW was awesome. Best trip ever. If you remotely like music, it's a must go at least once in your life. Anywho, the new album/mixtape from Big KRIT is damn good (as expected). The newest projects from Ab-Soul & Smoke DZA are also worth checking out. The future of hip-hop is something to be excited about IMO.
April 16, 201114 yr QUOTE (JoeCoolMan24 @ Apr 14, 2011 -> 02:00 PM) New DONNIS mixtape. Haven't listened to it yet, I've got class. I'm waiting for a review before I download. I was disappointed by the last tape he put out.
April 16, 201114 yr What is that "Rope" Remix on the new Foo. It's awful. The only bad part of that album.
