Now I don't know if Cardinals fans have just become more vocal, but I've come to realize how awful they are and I can't handle it. I have much less exposure to Boston fans if I keep ESPN off, so they bother me less. After the NLDS, a college buddy of mine wrote an entire Facebook post blaming the Pirates lack of success on the fanbase. He said that if only the fans had shown up more and cared as much as Cardinals fans did, then the team wouldn't have been so bad the last 20+ years. Really?

They have a weak fan base and the stadium is not in a terrible location. There is little or no traffic getting to their stadium. It is pretty easy on and off the freeway. Since it is indoor, there is no weather excuse. The Tampa Bay Bucs football team is the 2nd worst draw in the NFL. The area does not have enough fans to support their teams. The transplants continue to root for their home teams and are only casual fans who attend a few games. I am one of them who goes to a few April Rays games before I head north and have yet to go to a Bucs game.
October 24, 201312 yr 1st inning game 1. After umps corrected blown call, Napoli was up with bases loaded against Wainwright. In that situation. Wainright is looking for a DP grounder. What are the 2 way to get a hitter to hit a GB ? Jam him or low . Napoli takes the 1st 2 pitches which are inside and low. Wainright now has to come in with a strike. Napoli hammers a fastball to the gap to clear the bases. This should be used by the Sox as the way to approach that situation on every level and with the parent club. Be smart be patient. Think of the situation you're in before you even get to the plate and step out if necessary to readjust.
October 24, 201312 yr Cards looking like the White Sox . Dropped throw to 2nd base on potential DP grounder. A missed pick up of a double which led to Ortiz scoring from 1st. Wainright lets a popup drop right in front of him in the 2nd inning.
