I'll be there

We need Chris to go 8, at least.

No line ups yet. Let's get over yesterday's debacle and take the series from the Red Sox.

Paulie should be getting a start tonight. I like Paulie.

THREAD MERGE

I think Dunn took Lester out last season.

This is true as well....He's 2-8 with 4 walks....When do they give Abreu a day off?? He's just 2 for 13 so far vs LHP.

Maybe it's just me, but it looks like Abreu could use a day off. Put Paulie at 1B tonight.

I agree it might be time for a day off for Abreu as he's been struggling a bit the last few. I'd like to see Paulie get in versus Lester and when Dunn is hot you need to keep him in the lineup as much as possible.

Abreu should get a day off in Texas, and that way PK should get 4 games in a row.

When Abreu gets days off, it will be Dunn at 1B, not Konerko. Outside of some weird emergency, PK's days of using his glove are over.

OK, well I couldn't have been more wrong on that one. Konerko is playing 1B instead of Dunn.

Sucks not seeing Abreu in the line up but it is needed. He isn't hitting much lately.

Abreu needs to sit a game.

I dont really understand the mentality of 'needs to sit a game'

What makes this day of rest any kind of automatic positive? Isn't it entirely plausible that this day, vs a lefty, was the day he was going to have three hits?

I can handle a RH star's day off against some lefty but the pure 'day of rest' is weird to me. mental exhaustion? Abreu is sitting today due to Baseball-y Convention.

Hmm, Konerko in for Abreu instead of Dunn against a lefty?

Abreu is in a 1-25 right now. Not a bad day to give him off against Lester.

I was hoping Napoli would sit one more day.

Also from Sox notes: Paul Konerko (expected to start tonight) needs four total bases to tie Frank Thomas for franchise record of 3,949.

First big non-od crowd of the year and you're not going to play the player that everyone's going to want to see and might attract that crowd back later on? Lame Ventura.

Didn't they have like 28K there last week when it was like 70?

I'll be watching in between periods of the Hawks game, and Abreu not playing makes that easier for me. Hopefully Sale can go 8 innings.
